The Office of Special Events and Stewardship produces and coordinates a variety of events on and off campus that recognize, thank, congratulate and celebrate special people and moments in the life of NKU. In this way, we help support and cultivate enduring relationships with NKU faculty, staff, students, alumni, the Northern Kentucky community and our donors.
Our staff is comprised of two full-time employees -- Kathy Stewart, director, and Krista Wiseman-Moore, coordinator -- who handle every aspect of special events with assistance from volunteers, Presidential Ambassadors and other University Advancement staff.
The major events on our annual schedule are winter and spring commencement ceremonies and the Lincoln Award ceremony, which recognizes individuals who have had a tremendous and positive influence on our community.
Other types of events that our office helps coordinate include building groundbreakings, dedications and donor gift recognition events. We also partner with community organizations to produce public interest events such as political debates and forums.
